These terms explain the agreement between you and GymThrottle when you use the app. Please read the health and safety section carefully.

1. About these terms
GymThrottle is fitness software created by Matt Bleasby (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use GymThrottle.
2. Who can use GymThrottle
You must be 16 or over and able to agree to these terms. Accounts are for one person – please don't share your login.
3. Health and safety – please read
- Check with your GP first if you have a heart condition, chest pain, dizziness, high blood pressure, diabetes, a joint or bone problem, are pregnant or have recently given birth, are recovering from surgery or illness, or are unsure whether exercise is safe for you.
- Stop straight away if you feel pain (other than normal muscle effort), chest tightness, faintness or severe breathlessness, and get medical help if needed.
- Suggested weights, reps and progressions are estimates based on your answers. You're in control – always use a weight you can lift with good form, warm up, and use a spotter or safety bars for heavy lifts.
- Injury mode and exercise swaps reduce load on sore areas but can't diagnose or treat injuries.
- Nutrition, water, creatine, sauna and steam suggestions are general guidance for healthy adults. Speak to a GP or registered dietitian before changing your diet if you have a medical condition, and follow your gym's rules for sauna and steam rooms.
4. Your account
Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. Give accurate answers to the plan questions – your plan is only as good as the information it's built on. Admins may approve, pause or remove accounts to keep the service safe.
5. Community rules
Activity, reactions, challenges and the leaderboard are there to motivate each other. Don't post anything abusive, hateful, sexual, misleading or illegal, don't harass other members, and don't log fake lifts to top the leaderboard. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
6. Your content
You own the data and photos you add. You give us permission to store and display them only as needed to run GymThrottle – for example, showing your PBs on the leaderboard. Progress photos are private unless you choose to share them with a coach.
7. Our software
The GymThrottle name, logo, design, exercise library and software are owned by us. GymThrottle – Software created by Matt Bleasby – All rights reserved GymThrottle 2026. You may use the app for your own training, but you may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or misuse it.
8. Changes and availability
GymThrottle is free to start. We're always improving it, so features may change. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you clearly first and you'll never be charged without agreeing. We aim to keep the app running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything important using the download option in Account.
9. Our responsibility to you
We'll provide GymThrottle with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited under the laws of England and Wales. Otherwise, because exercise carries some risk and you choose how you train, we aren't responsible for injury or loss caused by ignoring the health and safety guidance above, or for losses we couldn't reasonably foresee. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you why where we can.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If we change these terms in an important way, we'll ask you to review them in the app. Questions? Contact us using the Report a problem or idea option in the app’s More menu.
